Ekuatia System Maintenance Schedule

February 2026

The SET has announced scheduled maintenance for the Ekuatia electronic invoicing system. The system will be unavailable during the following periods for technical updates and infrastructure improvements.

Scheduled Downtime:

  • Saturday, February 22, 2026: 22:00 to Sunday 06:00
  • Saturday, March 1, 2026: 22:00 to Sunday 06:00

Plan your invoicing activities to avoid these maintenance windows. Invoices cannot be generated or transmitted during system downtime.

Regulatory Information

Current Filing Deadlines

Monthly tax declaration and payment deadlines for self-employed professionals and micro-businesses. Deadlines vary by taxpayer identification number.

Monthly IVA Declaration

Declarations must be filed by the 15th day of the month following the reporting period. Payment must accompany the declaration.

IRE Declaration

Income tax declarations for self-employed professionals follow the same monthly schedule. Calculate based on gross income for the reporting period.

Late Filing

Late declarations incur penalties and interest charges. The penalty structure is progressive based on the number of days past the deadline. Contact SET directly to regularize late filings.

System Update

Ekuatia Interface Changes

Recent updates to the Ekuatia system interface have reorganized some menu locations and added new features for expense tracking.

The invoice generation workflow remains unchanged, but several reporting functions have moved to a new dashboard section. Our training materials have been updated to reflect these changes.

Important Reminder

Document Retention Requirements

The SET requires taxpayers to maintain electronic and physical records for specified periods. Ensure you understand and comply with these retention requirements.

  • Electronic Invoices: Must be retained for five years from the date of issuance
  • Expense Documentation: Supporting documents for deductible expenses must be kept for five years
  • Tax Declarations: Copies of all submitted declarations and payment confirmations for five years
  • Accounting Records: All accounting books and records must be available for SET review

Failure to maintain required records can result in penalties during SET audits. Establish a systematic filing and backup system for all tax-related documents.
